St. Rita's Sports Medicine Team of the Week is a program recognizing high school athletic teams that work together to achieve common goals and improve their school and community. The program is sponsored by St. Rita’s Medical Center Sports Medicine and West Central Ohio Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.* Members of the team selected will receive a certificate and a t-shirt to recognize their success.
03/05/2005 - Girls Varsity - Continental Girls Varsity Basketball Team Team School District: Continental Coached By: Greg Spitnale
Continental Varsity Girls graduated all but one starter from the 2003-2004 team. This year's team has started out with a 11-4 record and a championship in the Ayresville Holiday Tournament.
The girls team also volunteers their Saturday mornings to coach the Continental 4th, 5th and 6th grade girls basketball program. In addition these girls volunteer to help run the Don Huber Memorial 5th and 6th grade basketball tournaments (keeping score, running the clock, cleaning up afterwards).
