St. Rita's Sports Medicine Team of the Week is a program recognizing high school athletic teams that work together to achieve common goals and improve their school and community. The program is sponsored by St. Rita’s Medical Center Sports Medicine and West Central Ohio Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.* Members of the team selected will receive a certificate and a t-shirt to recognize their success.
03/26/2005 - Boys Varsity - Continental Boys Varsity Basketball Team Team School District: Continental Coached By: Kevin Homier
Continental Varsity Boys Basketball team has advanced to the State Semi-final for the first time since 1977. Along the tournament trail each game it seems like someone different steps up to take control of the game. The Boys are the 2005 Putnam county league Champs compiling a 22-3 record to date.
The boys volunteer their Saturday mornings to coach the 5-6th grade boys program. Last Saturday (3/12) a number of the boys after having won regionals the night before went back to the gym to help run the Don Huber Memorial 5-6th Grade basketball tournament (keeping score and running the clock).
