Healthy kidneys act as a filter for the blood and remove impurities to keep
the body in balance. Dialysis treatments are life sustaining procedures that
allow persons with renal disease and kidney failure to keep their blood systems
in balance.
The Renal Services Department of St. Rita's Medical Center offers hemodialysis
services for both in and outpatient. We also have a satellite unit at Putnam
County Ambulatory Care Center . Our highly trained staff is comprised of compassionate
professionals who strive to meet the needs of renal patients and their families.
Our inpatient unit, located on 5E provides dialysis for critical care patients
and any hospitalized patient needing dialysis. Rita's outpatient hemodialysis
unit is located at 830 West High Street, Suite 390 . It has nine dialysis stations,
each with state-of-the-art equipment to optimize the dialysis treatments for
patients. Located within this same area, is our Renal Clinic, that provides
educational support and laboratory test monitoring for patients with renal
insufficiency, pre- and post transplant patients and patients with End Stage
Renal Disease (ESRD).
Our satellite unit at the Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center has 12 stations.
For the convenience of our patients and their families, this satellite unit
has a private entrance with a protective canopy.
