The Work Oriented Rehabilitation Center (WORC) is the only complete return
to work service in West Central Ohio. WORC offers a team approach to assist
injured workers in a safe and fast return to employment. Our team of professionals
works with you and your doctor to develop an individual return to work plan
including a plan to prevent further injury and to help you maintain a healthy
lifestyle.
On your first visit to WORC, you will participate in a functional capacity
evaluation to determine your current work abilities. After the evaluation your
rehabilitation program will likely consist of work simulation activities, physical
conditioning and educational classes to support a safe return to work. Return
to work programs generally last four to eight weeks.
St. Rita's Medical Center offers four different work oriented rehabilitation
programs. They include:
- Comprehensive Occupational Rehabilitation:
Simulated Work Duties and Conditioning for Return to Your Original Work Environment
- Work Conditioning: Individualized Exercise
Program to Improve Physical Abilities
- STAR Fitness Program When Further Conditioning
is Necessary Before Returning to Work.
- Transitional Work: Job Site Activities to Build
Your Ability for a Return to Job Responsibilities
You and your doctor are the most important part of the team and you will have
the benefit of working with experienced work rehabilitation specialists, which
includes:
|
- Physical and Occupational Therapists
- Nurse/Case Manager
- Psychologist
- Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist
