The St. Rita's Sleep Clinic is where the initial evaluation on patients is
performed by the sleep physicians to assess for appropriate sleep needs. All
Sleep Clinic physicians are fellows of the American Sleep Disorders Association.
The initial evaluation offers physicians a thorough case history in addition
to a physical examination for each patient. Based on this evaluation, appropriate
recommendations and/or referrals are made which can include the scheduling
of overnight sleep studies.
Typically, patients at the Sleep Clinic range from pediatric (three years
of age through fifteen years) through geriatric age range.
The patient should arrive 30 minutes prior to their appointment time and check
in with Outpatient Registration. This area is located on the first floor of
the main hospital. Once registered, patients are directed to the second floor
for their appointment in the Sleep Clinic. Assessments last only 30-45
minutes.
