Parkinson Disease:
Parkinson Disease, a slowly progressive disorder of the nervous system, affects about 1.2 million persons in the U.S. and Canada. The peak onset is about age 60, however, is not just a disease of middle or old age. About 15% of PD patients are 50 years or less. PD progresses from diagnosis to major disability over 10-20 years. Most symptoms are improved with medication.
