The Head Neck and Oral Cancer Support Group is a support group designed to
help anyone who has been diagnosed with any type of head, neck or oral cancer.
As a part of the group, you have the opportunity to share your experiences
with others who have faced the same or similar problems or listen to an expert
in the field discuss the latest in treatment options.
|
As with any life changing event, you can often find comfort and hope by joining
with others who can understand your personal experience. The problems of people
diagnosed with cancer are vast and can be better met with the support of others.
As a group we try to find ways to heal our lives after being changed by cancer.
The group is also designed to include family members in the healing process. |
You can learn more about our group by contacting Carla Fry at (419)
227-3361 extension 7665. Or you can just come to our group to see
what it is like. There is no cost and you can participate as much as you
would like. We look forward to meeting you.
The Head, Neck and Oral Cancer Support Group is held the third Tuesday of
even months (February, April, June, August, October and December). We meet
from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at St. Rita's Regional Cancer Center , The Garden Conference

Fact:
|
More than 500,000 survivors of oral and head and neck cancer are living in the US today. Coping with this type of cancer can be extremely difficult due to alterations in facial and neck appearance as well as alterations in speech, sight, smell, chewing, swallowing and taste.
