The Head Injury Support Group is a group designed to help anyone who has permanent
disabilities from a head injury and their families. As a part of the group,
you have the opportunity to share your experiences with others who have faced
the same problems or listen to an expert in the field discuss the latest in
treatment options or adaptive equipment designed to increase functional independence.
As with any life changing event you can often find comfort and hope by joining
with others who can understand your personal experience. The problems of people
diagnosed with head injuries are vast and can be better met with the support
of others. As a group we try to find ways to heal our lives after being changed
by injury or disease. The group is also designed to include family members
in the healing process.
For more information call (419) 226-9000. Or you can just
come to our group to see what it is like. There is no cost and you can participate
as much as you would like. We look forward to meeting you.
The support group meets the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM in St.
Rita's Dinning Room C in the Cafeteria.
