,
as a patient registration clerk, had a reputation for being helpful and
compassionate. The Core Values of Compassion and Service were very evident
when several boys from Fort Jennings were involved in a serious accident.
Each day before and after work she would go to the floor where the parents
were waiting, to see if there was anything she could do or anything they
needed. Although she lives in Ft. Jennings, she was not well acquainted
with the families, but wanted to be as helpful as possible.
Others who came to St. Rita's often remarked to her daughter how very helpful
Doris had been and how much more comfortable she made them. Whether they
came to St. Rita's for a procedure requiring an overnight stay, or a simple
diagnostic test, Doris always took the extra steps to make sure they were
at ease.
Because of her Compassion and Dedication
to service, Doris has relieved considerable stress and anxiety for countless
people, who had a better healthcare experience because she lives our Core
Values.
We are proud to name Doris Horstman, a Legend of St. Rita's. |
