RN, was working at the Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center when several
victims came in from a car accident, including an infant. Fortunately, all
the patients could be treated and released.
Upon discharging the infant, Sue discovered the baby's caregiver did not
have a car seat, since the one that had been used was in the accident. Without
hesitation, Sue went to her own car, removed her own infant's car seat and
gave it to this stranger to use to take the baby home. There was no thought
given to the fact that this was a total stranger and that she might not
even get the car seat returned. Her only concern was the safety of this
tiny child.
Compassion and Sacredness of Life
are two of the Core Values Sue demonstrated in this situation, but she consistently
demonstrates our values every day. She is always smiling, considerate and
willing to help her co-workers whenever she can.
"How fortunate we are to have employees such as Sue".
We are proud to name Sue Williams, a Legend of St. Rita's. |
