Live with Independence...Live with confidence...

Vision loss from head injury or illness can dramatically change your life and ability to maintain an independent lifestyle. Now St. Rita's Low Vision and Brain Acquired Vision Loss Program can assist you in the return to independent living with confidence.

What can cause vision loss?
Stroke, diabetes, macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts and brain injuries can all lead to vision loss.

Can I Benefit?
If you experience dizziness, trouble with balance, gradual vision loss or visual field losses you may benefit from this program.

How does the program work?
When you come to St. Rita's Low Vision and Brain Acquired Vision Loss Program, you will be evaluated by an occupational therapist specially trained in vision loss problems. The therapist will use proven rehabilitation interventions and exercises to help improve vision and your ability to maintain independence. This is a noninvasive program that supplements the use of corrective lenses and other tools, which help with vision loss.

How do I get an appointment?
See your family doctor or optometrist for a prescription and call for an appointment at our Rehabilitation Center at 830 West High Street, Lima Ohio. Our telephone number is (419) 226-9019.
