than half of all cancer patients require treatment utilizing radiation
therapy. St. Rita’s Cancer Centers have on-site the latest linear
accelerators to deliver exact amounts of radiation to the tumor site
and limit radiation to the surrounding healthy tissue. |
Chemotherapy is the use of medications to control and eliminate cancer.
It can be administered by several methods such as pills, liquid, injections
or intravenously.

Patients
and their families have access to on-site laboratory, social services,
nutritional counseling, pastoral care and referrals to hospice care. |
The Cancer Network will offer, in conjunction with its member hospitals,
health screenings, cancer prevention, and educational programs to the residents
of our communities.
