St.
Rita’s Regional Cancer Center was designed and built after careful
research and visits to the best cancer centers all over the country. The
result is a 38,000 square foot state-of-the-art cancer treatment center
with services that address the unique physical, emotional and spiritual
needs of patients and families. It is technologically advanced with a
compassionate staff with hundreds of years of experience in cancer treatment.
St. Rita’s Regional Cancer Center is one of six cancer treatment
centers in Ohio and one of 134 in the nation accredited by the American
College of Radiology (ACR). The Center is also accredited by the American
College of Surgeons, is a member of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group
and is affiliated with the Mayo Clinic through its clinical trials program.
St. Rita’s cancer program offers traditional therapies, including
surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, along with the newest technologies
in medicine.
We
recognize there is more to fighting cancer than medicine and technology.
We understand that our patients may make daily visits to the center for
weeks or even months, so comfort is our priority. Cancer patients and
their families are warmly greeted and welcomed with cookies, coffee and
herbal teas. While waiting, they can enjoy the warmth of the fireplace
or stroll through our two-story glass serenity atrium designed to soothe
the soul and invigorate the spirit. Many of our visitors choose to spend
time in our nationally recognized Cancer Resource Center equipped with
computers with internet access and the most current books, periodicals
and videos on cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
During the spring, summer and early fall, you may enjoy the healing environment
of our aromatherapy, butterfly and tribute gardens.
The Center is also equipped with several meeting rooms for the many cancer
related support groups offered through the medical center.
St. Rita’s Regional Cancer Center is located at 803 W. Market Street
in Lima, adjacent to the Medical Center.
