| Description |
Cardiac risk scoring is for individuals over 40 with any risk factors for heart disease or those questioning their risk factors. CT scanning images of the heart are used to evaluate their risk of heart disease. The scanner measures calcium deposits in the arteries and produces a score. The score is used as an indicator of your risk. Your physician will receive the results within 7 days. Cost is $200, paid on the day of the test. No physician order is required. The test takes about 10 minutes and you will be asked to remove any metal above the waist.You may check with your insurance after the test in regards to coverage. |
